LAS CRUCES... (April 8, 2022) Bishop Peter Baldacchino will be celebrating this year's Mass for Palm Sunday on April 10, 2022, at 11 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral located at 1240 S. Espina, Las Cruces NM 88001. 

Before the Mass, congregants will gather by 10 a.m. at Valley View Park, 750 S Espina St, Las Cruces, NM 88001. There, Bishop Baldacchino will bless and distribute the palms, then read from the Gospel. By 10:15 a.m., Bishop Baldacchino will lead the congregation in procession to the Cathedral, a spiritual and symbolic re-enactment of Jesus Christ’s procession into Jerusalem.

Palm Sunday, also known as Sunday of the Passion, is the Sunday before Easter and marks the beginning of Holy Week.
